MUTATING LADBROKE GROVE

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

I have been down Ladbroke grove the last few days, putting my work up for the exhibition starting on friday, what fun it is and a pleasure to be part of.
It’s always wonderful to be part of these operations, a huge space, lots of organising to be done, lots of artists, crazy chaos, lots of possible reasons for it to all not work.
Somehow though it does work. There’s a common goal amongst all that are taking part in the event, to keep art alive, to have fun with it and share their creative energies with all.
So it’s been great to watch the progress of this particular extravagansa, seeing the space before work began too what it looks like now and what it will look like in a few days time is incredible and it definetly promises to be one of the shows of the year, it’s just a shame there aren’t more things like this going on in this here country………anyway’s, all is groovy

Starting friday 9th october, this exhibition will feature truly groovy sculptural pieces made by the mutate crew made from all sorts of bits of cars, bikes, helicopters and such. plus invited artists such as myself, Zeus, Best ever and Part2ism to add to the rawness of the show.
A must see show.

WHATUM

Yeeeeeaa boyyyeee, i finally have a working computer that allows me to do internetty type stuff, as my trusted laptop had unfortunately been dowsed in alcohol by some vicious psycho maniac beast at a wedding party, thus rendering most of the keyboard totally and utterly retarded, this being a real pain as losing the keys p, o, h, u, r, n and b amongst many others serverly reduced my internet porn viewing, arrggghh
But any way, whilst being pretty damn sexually frustrated i’ve actually been a reasonably busy boy, working on a few projects, one of which is the Mutate show happening down at the westway in ladbroke grove starting this thursday the 8th october.
This might be one of those shows that gets totally slept on by some bods, mainly because it doesnt feature a host of huge street artist names and it’s not in poxy wanky shoreditch but in my eyes, the shows these guys put on are both inspirational and progressively brilliant, i shall post more details and images soon.

Also i have been working on putting together a exhibition featuring many groovy artists, who like myself like to paint the face section of the human anotomy,
I shall reveal more about this in later posts, but all anyone needs to know at the moment is the show begins on the 5th November, remember, remember.

plus another funky project i worked on, and set up by the master maestro RYCA is called Squarity. The show features nine artists, and we all worked on the same brief that allowed us to work ‘in our on unique way’. more info on that to follow.
