MATTY SMALL AIN’T SHIT

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Theres nothing nicer than doing art workshops for kids, they are open and ready to embrace new ways of approaching making art, most of the time they make stuff that us adults can’t even try to emulate.
kids work with freedom and have no pre-conceived notions about what art is meant to be, which is beautiful to witness and also pretty worrying because the young people I’ve worked with always make much better stuff than me.
truly humbling.

MERCY CENTRE APPEAL

Monday, July 28th, 2008

When the Leonard St Gallery died they left a fair few people and organisations out of pocket.
One organisation is the mercy centre foundation based in bangkok, they were aiming to build a school in the city to help disadvantaged children.
money raised from artist Beejoir’s show would of gone to the foundation, and that is lost now
So some bright spark has devised a plan to raise money by getting a load of artists to produce art works in sketch pads with the resulting pads being auctioned off.
I think it’s a great idea and have just finished my pictures.
